Sprint Distance...One 750 meter Swim ....10 mile bike.....3 mile run
Time: 7:00 a.m. swim start
Swim will be one 750 meter swim
Bike will be on the PCH heading 5 miles west to Warner and returning east to the 6th street parking lot.
Run will head South 1.48 miles just before Newland Street, and return back for a total of 3 miles
Olympic Distance.....1500 meter Swim .....25 mile bike.....6.55 mile run

Swim will be 1500 meter swim
Bike will be on PCH heading 5 miles west to Warner and returning east to the Santa Ana River Trail (this is mile 13.7, enter the trail at gate just past Brookhurst) . Head north up the trail to the 4.0 mile marker and returning back to the pier. The trail is marked with mile markers every 1/2 mile.
Run will be one 6.55 mile loops beginning at the Pier. There will be signs marking the beginning and end points of the run. You will run North 1.82 miles, return to the starting point at the 6th street parking lot and head South 1.48 miles just before Newland Street, and return back for a total of 6.55 miles per lap.
70.3 Distance.....2250 meter swim.....56 mile bike.....13.1 mile run

Swim will be 2250 meters
Bike will be on PCH heading 5 miles west to Warner and returning east to the Santa Ana River Trail (this is mile 13.7, enter the trail at gate just past Brookhurst) . Head north up the trail to the 19.5 mile marker (you will have traveled 33.3 miles) and returning back 22.7 miles to the pier. The trail is marked with mile markers every 1/2 mile.
Run will be two 6.55 mile loops beginning at the Pier. There will be banners marking the beginning and end points of the run. You will run North 1.82 miles, return to the starting point at the 6th street parking lot and head South 1.48 miles just before Newland Street, and return back for a total of 6.55 miles per lap.
Long Distance Bike or Run
112 mile Bike will be on PCH heading 5 miles west to Warner and returning east to the Santa Ana River Trail (this is mile 13.7, enter the trail at gate just past Brookhurst) . Head north up the trail just before trail mile marker 23 (at Weir Canyon underpass), and returning back 23 miles to the turn for the second lap. Lap two will return north to the end or the trail once again, and returning back 26 miles to the pier. To complete the full 112 mile distance, you will need to add three additional miles to lap one or two. The trail will be marked, but for your information, following the mile markers on the trail, the first wooden bridge crossover is just past mile 2.0. The second wooden bridge crossover is past mile marker 9.5. The third crossover is the overpass at the Honda Center just before mile 13.5. The last wooden bridge crossover is just past mile marker 20.0. There is water just past mile marker 4.5 at moon park. Water just past the second bridge before mile 10.0 at the park behind the white picket fence with restrooms. Water at the restroom after crossing the overpass at the Honda center. At mile 17.5 there is a Circle K store just off the trail.

The event will go until 5:00 p.m., so you can join the swim, bike, or run at any time you wish. There are no rules, this is not a race. Join in and participate for a great cause!
PARKING.... The event will begin on the beach path at the exit of the 6th Street Parking lot on the North side of the pier. Parking is available from 5:00 a.m. to midnight for $12.00 per day (machine takes fives and ones only). There are 300 parking spaces at 6th street, so arrive early if you wish to park there. The other beach parking lots are closed at 10:00 p.m. As there is no transition area, you may choose to use your vehicle to store your things, or have a support person to assist you. The parking area must be kept clear as vehicle traffic may not be impeded. Upon exit and entry of the lot, you may not impede to flow of traffic.
"Aid: This is a voluntary event and participants will be responsible for their own bike storage, food and beverage needs. There will be bottled beverages on the run located off the beach path just north of the 6th Street parking lot. There are water fountains located on the run as well.Entry Fee: This is not an organized triathlon, so there is not an entry fee. We recommend each participant make a donation to one of the three charities we are sponsoring, The Blazeman Fund, MS Society, or Challenged Athletes.
